Antoine Revoy – Wizard of Oz poster chosen by American Illustration


Antoine Revoy’s poster for the annual Illustration Department Theme Show of the Montserrat College of Art (this edition’s theme was “The Wizard of Oz” and the literary universe of L. Frank Baum) was chosen by American Illustration in their competition AI31.

This illustration will be exhibited in “RISD ICONS: A Legacy of Illustration from the Rhode Island School of Design”, opening June 13th.

Antoine Revoy

I am a french illustrator, art director and designer with a passion for drawing. Born in 1977 in Paris, France and raised in Tokyo, Japan, I was educated globally and have studied and worked in 7 countries spanning 3 continents, including Mexico, Spain, the United States, Ireland and China. This multicultural background informs my aesthetics and mental imagery. Winner of 2 Gold Awards, from Graphis and the Society of Illustrators of Los Angeles. Received distinction from American Illustration, Freistil, Spectrum, the Society of Illustrators, 3x3 Magazine, Print Magazine and more. Trained as an animator, I received a B.F.A. in Film/Animation/Video from the Rhode Island School of Design in 1999. I now teach illustration courses at my alma mater, RISD.
