Peter Campofiori – Scholastic Storyworks Nov/Dec. cover

This is a magazine cover I created for the Nov/Dec issue of Scholastic magazine’s Storyworks. Check out Scholastic’s website

As far back as I can remember, I always wanted to be a cartoon illustrator. To me… illustrating cartoons was almost better than being an usher at the local theater and watching Star Wars 5 times a day. Even before Yahoo offered the Aspiring Cartoon Illustrators group …I knew I wanted to be a part of them. They weren't like fine art illustrators. They drew things however they wanted. They drew bugs with personality (oh no its the Raid) Tigers that ate cereal (and thought it was GREAT! ) When they drew city skylines with lines that weren't parallel… …nobody ever complained about there perspective. Drawing funny characters was where I knew I belonged. To me, it meant being able to justify a yearly 15k student loan… …at an art school full of real artists.
