Wayne Brezinka – New L.A. Times editorial illustration


Los Angeles Times editorial illustration. The article discusses Anne Frank’s literary voice and the author’s assertion that she knew her diary would one day be received as a work of art. I was asked to focus on making this a portrait of Anne Frank, but perhaps use actual text from her book in parts, book bindings, materials associated with literary endeavors, etc.

I was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota and with some encouragement from my father to draw, I decided to take art classes. This eventually led me to pursue an art education. I now illustrate and design for clients such as The Washington Post, The Los Angeles Times, Neiman Marcus, and many others.
