The Prime 8 Art League, announces an open call for artists for the gallery’s inaugural exhibition May 25, 2012. Artists who are selected for the exhibition will be paid $750 each to produce one or more original works to fill a predefined space within the gallery.

We’ve teamed up with publishers Aurum Press and Barbican Film to offer three talented animators the chance to meet Ray and have their stop-motion animation short shown at a glittering Ray Harryhausen night at the Barbican. Winners will also receive a consultation with the animation tutors at the National School of Film and Television, a year’s Barbican Yellow membership.

Project Sketchbook is a mail-art project hosted annually by Rozelle Artists Guild, a small collective of creatives in Memphis, TN. We hand cut and stitch a couple hundred mini-books, hand them out, & exhibit the results. This year, we’re raising money through Indie GoGo, and we really need everyone’s help! Perks for donating include hugs, buttons, shirts, catalogs, and original art.
