The Dig writers in Boston put their livers on the line and took to drinking at live shows for this week’s newspaper. One guy even did his time at a Motörhead show! I’m very proud of my illustrated booze-blaze cover in which Jimi Hendrix’s famous guitar-on-fire image was the inspiration. For your reference, that is a “Flaming Homer” in his drink set.

This is for an article in Beer Advocate magazine’s July edition. It was all about a guy rediscovering the British empire and enjoying their tasty brew along the way. Deep in Tour de France fever when I read this piece, I was very excited to illustrate a cyclist in fervently charged pace. I completed the line work with a brush pen this time as well to loosen up. It was a fun change of line!
