Amsterdam illustrator Leon Mussche Illustrated a feature article for financial watchdog blog Follow the money (Just Keeping them honest). The story ‘Unfresh Philantropists’ (it sounds better in Dutch) written by Eric Smit, names and shames the board members of a Rotterdam harbour workers pension fund, that changed the destination of one billion euros.

Instructions for European rail company NS-Hispeed

Leon Mussche has illustrated a series of instructional infographics for NS-Hispeed in collaboration with Dutch design company Teldesign. The instructions were made to guide European travellers travelling to the Netherlands without a public transport chip card to the exit of the railway station in a fast and efficient way, using a secially developed barcode that can be scanned at the gates.

Leon Mussche illustrated the story on Fact-free politics for Elsevier Juist. The article focuses on the trend of ‘selective shopping’ in facts, data and enquiries in the Netherlands, but also abroad. Elsevier Juist is the brand new sister of ‘Elsevier,’ which has been an influential opinion magazine since 1945.

‘Elsevier‘ is an opinion-leading political magazine in the Netherlands. It has just published a brand new magazine, aimed at younger audience, called Elsevier juist. I illustrated the polical essay ‘Peptalk and Doomthiners in The Hague: The only Way is Up’ written by political editor Syp Wynia. An article about optimism and pessimism. The illustration runs across 3 pages in the magazine, which is out now.

Leon Mussche – Lifestyle illustrations for zin magazine

Leon Mussche illustrated an article about the prospects of aging, in an eight-page article for Zin, the magazine for active and vital maturing women and men in the Netherlands. I made the opening illustration and four infographics showing the results of a survey among this group. ‘It was a lot of fun to work on this and I hope to be able to more human interest illustration work in the future.’
