Oh So Close! After 2 1/2 years of working on and off on this project, I can finally see the light at the end for Bartholomew’s book of BIRDS. This 32 page children’s book, written by Chris Watson, is only 2 spreads from being finished. Above is the final cover art. Currently the book will only be sold in Scotland, but I’m doing my best to get it over here in the states. Well… back to work!

The piece was inspired by my yearly trip back home to tiny ol’ Auburn NY for Thanksgiving dinner with my parents and siblings.

I’d meander through the Pocono mountains late at night listening to Garrison Keillor and his well crafted, small town tales of Lake Wobegon, “Where all the women are strong, all the men are good-looking, and all the children are above average.”

The calendar goes on sale in June and will be full of incredible art form other artists.

Our cover art for the book “Sensing Jesus” by Zachary Eswine is in American Illustration 29. We’re gitty.

After months of work, I’ve finally finished all of the illustrations for Joanne Owen’s new book, “The Alchemist and the Angel.” The story is an enthralling tale of mystery, magic and alchemy set in 16th-century Prague and Vienna. We just finished up the cover art for Joanne Owen’s latest thriller, “The Alchemist and the Angel” and thought we’d share. A few months ago Mutt Ink was called upon to pitch illustration concepts for CNN’s Health website. The prime obstacle was illustrating serious life altering health issues without the artwork coming across as distasteful or morbid. In the end, CNN went with generic photography to depict each issue, but the overall experience was unparalleled.
