Kareem Rizk @ Moniker Art Fair 2014 represented by Smithson Gallery

I’m very pleased to announce that I’ll be showing a new series of works at the Moniker Art Fair for the first time this year in London. I’ll be represented there by the UK based Smithson Gallery, being one of only four artists featured by the gallery at this event. I’ll be in attendance on October 16th for the opening night preview.

My new featured works will be a series of 32 handmade mixed media multiples titled ‘Circus’, featuring 4 unique designs and 8 different colour-ways. This series however will only be revealed after the opening night. Other new works that I’ve just recently finished include two big original works on canvas, 200 x 100 cm (80 x 40 inches) and 110 x 180 cm (43 x 70 inches).

The above piece called ‘Ruby Throat’ is currently for sale along with other pieces via Smithson’s website.

Moniker Art Fair (London)

Moniker Art Fair

Now in it’s fifth year Moniker Art Fair has earned a reputation as one of the most exciting, international contemporary art fairs. It has grown significantly since 2010 both in terms of audience and relevance- the fair attracts more than 12,000 visitors over its four day duration.

Held during London’s busiest arts and culture week, Moniker Art Fair spotlight emerging and established talent, celebrating a generation of artists at the forefront of a unique contemporary art movement. The fair attracts some of the most talked about artists, galleries and collectors from the finer side of the street art movement and its related subcultures.

Garnering a reputation for the dedicated artist project spaces, and defying the typical constraints of the regular Art Fair format, Moniker Art Fair has become renowned for delivering a rich and varied programme of highly curated, experiential and immersive gallery spaces, live artwork, events, talks and workshops. Staying true to the artist’s vision, this expressive and immersive approach sets Moniker apart by offering partner galleries and artists more opportunity for experimentation.

Building on the foundations of four years experience and innovation, 2014 sees Moniker Art Fair continuing to co-host with London’s leading artist- led fair – The Other Art Fair – in what will again be a showcase of independent and established talent, forming the major satellite events of London’s Art Week when 60,000 visitors descend on the city to form an unparalleled international art audience.

Kareem Rizk – Alterations, Disturbances & Rips

Sampling the ubiquitous scraps of modern life, this exhibition presents an investigation into the Collage medium and the various techniques employed by the 4 participating artists. With each artist engaging with the medium from a different perspective the resulting assemblage of artworks will be presented as a complex tapestry of investigations to become a multifaceted collage in itself.
