light for visual artists

A project many years in the making, my new book Light For Visual Artists has been released worldwide and is available in English, French, Spanish and Italian from Amazon and other retailers. The first four chapters are available for free in a very popular tutorial on my website. The book itself covers lighting in more depth and also features chapters on how to light for composition and story.

itchy animationFishing accident

A new lick of paint has been given to Richard Yot’s illustration site at itchy-animation.co.uk, featuring new work in a much more quirky style and some fun new characters.

The work is moving away from 2d towards a more solid looking 3d style that is created digitally but is inspired by traditional models, stop-motion and photography. Look out for new work in the coming months, there are a few new ideas in the pipeline.
